The first one was in UTF-8 which kind of confused my newsreader, which expected ISO 8859-1; both of them were made with a variable width font, which didn't match my font. This kind of text art is still cool, but doesn't have the universal appeal of ascii art. If you stick to the ascii character set and use any fixed width font, everyone can view it.
