Well, they did, but not everything. We had loooong lists of irregular verbs to learn (what I never did, because I knew most of them already). But exceptions to certain rules were a rather unimportant topic. But since I learned most of my English myself and not in school, by reading, playing English computer games and so on, that wasn't so bad. But due to several games with speech I got a rather good speaking for myself, though I was only two times in England, which was when I was rather young (nine and ten, I think). > Russian is worse.
