Chem was a highly respected metalurgist, (and also lent his name to the study of "Alchemy", the search for the philosiphers stone) and was visited by Moses just as the Exodus started. Coincidentally Chem's animal familiar/symbol was a goat, hence Goat of Mendies as used many times by Hammer Studio's when they were still making dodgy horror films like the Devil Rides Out. ......and besides, I thought this was an NG about ASCII art, not religious symbolism. Who cares whether it is a "satanic", (whatever that's supposed to mean), symbol or not.
