There is a pianting at >http://flyingmoose.org/tolksarc/saruman.htm >is this the tower in ? > >lgbeard > The picture there doesn't really show all of the tower of Orthanc; it was the top part that really struck me. I know that it's a bit thin, but then in the film, Gandalf was imprisoned on the flat bit at the top, between the four spiked spires. In size terms, Gandalf would be about the size of the windows I put in the tower's side. And it was a very tall tower, so I thought the scale looked OK. Wasn't sure about the base of the tower at all. I did look on the net for a picture of Orthanc from the film, but I couldn't see anything helpful. If someone could find me a picture of the whole thing (top-to-bottom) I'll try and do better. But I don't think it's too bad myself, even if it's not quite like the one in the film. Whaddya think of my shading ?? Whole thing's done by hand, BTW. -- Graeme Porter -^-_ _ / [_][_]_:_ Proud owner of a 1978 /| _||_ v Pearl Fiberglass Shell kit | / \ | -=/=\\____//=\=jaa
