That's not always true depending on what type of nr and when the reader 
has checked the ng and other factors. On regular occasions I don't have 
access to previous messages to a thread.

When you consider that others might reply and quote from your post and 
also leave some of what you quoted then it does become messy because you 
top posted. If everything reads top to bottom (like this comment on a 
snipped bit of your post) then it makes more sense in later messages.

Well I vote "please don't top post". That's 2 to 1 so far.

I find the general agreement is not to top post, I've never heard anyone 
say "please don't bottom post". But by all means exercise your freedom to 
do whatever the hell you like :)

PS You are telling people what to do by telling them not to tell you what 
to do!
