Many artists have personal websites devoted to personal ascii-art. I am not sure whether there is a comprehensive ascii art search engine or not. If none, I wonder the possibility to build one. I think it to be a good idea. While artists create accounts and publish their works, other users can enter keywords to find related pieces. Even, XML interface can be developed for users to directly download or upload ascii art. Of course, artists still can keep developing their websites, but this engine may reduce users' time and help promote artists' works. This pattern is widespread in Informatics field and I guess it works in ascii art too. Any comment is welcomed.
