I live in Chula Vista, which is outside of San Diego, so I've seen my share of the stickers and posters up around town. I think that now Shepard has actually moved back to LA (or at least the business part of his 'enterprise,' if you could call it that, has). Regardless, the guy's an awesome artist. There's something about it that brings out the true "big city - ghetto" feeling -- reminds me of when I used to live in Japan (where, by the way, it's also a big thing in certain parts of town). I'm totally supportive of this type of art and love seeing it around town. A true modern artist's triumph, if such a thing exists. --red On Mon, 05 Aug 2002 18:54:09 GMT, Faux_Pseudo spewed forth the following: >-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- >Hash: SHA1 > >- --<-(Tim leyos tos loyos emiv apo alt.ascii-art)->-- >> This can be viewed with or with out searching google groups. >> >> If you want to see it in color (it actually looks much better that >> way) go to http://groups.google.com and search for the folowing string >> in the following order; >> >> aa ae ao ea ee eo oa oe oo "giant" >> > >Did anyone see the story on slashdot.org about this type of ascii? > >By the way I don't know how big OBEY/Giant propaganda is in the rest >of the world/country but Shepard got kicked out of LA and moved to San >Diego so this stuff is everywhere down here.
