My late enlightment wasn't because of my > slow-witted daftness, but merely a carefully plottet editorial finesse. One of the nice things about reading instead of watching [movie tv &c] is that lots of thing can be left for you to fill in if the author does not do it for you. If done emproperly it leaves you feeling unsatisfied at the lack of depth in a story. If done properly it causes the reader to fill in the gaps of setting/imagery and create a more personal story for the reader because they take a bigger part in creating it. This is one of the reasons that NerdBoy is so popular. The only props you are likely to find in a NB script is a computer and occastionaly other things like a hover craft or space alines and bjork songs. There arn't any chairs, rooms, hallways etc. You are left to fill in the environment and in the process you identify with the story more than say my scripts. I had to put a few more props in mine to create the environment because while I did have an exact environment in mind I didn't want to over run the story or stop the reader from makeing it like any other club that they might have gone to. Though you never see the dance floor (I don't dance) so you see the lounge and smokeing area. The fact that this is a club only happens in the fringe of your minds eye. But if you identify with any of the persons in my scripts then you probably have mental issues and should seek professional help. Yes, that encludes even the video game player too. >> $ crontab -l > file >> $ echo -e '0 0 * * * echo "To be drunk or not to be drunk; Well its a\ >> bit to late for that question."\n\n' >> file $ crontab file > > Previously I found it kinda annoying, that cron mailed the output > of the command to the user. You can redirect the output from cron any way you want. If you where to do a 'echo "some text" 2>&1 >> logfile ' then you will not get an email and you can check the logfile at your lesure. Or you can create a seperait mailbox and via something like procmail redirect all mail from cron to that new mailbox and check it when you feel like it. Or Or Or Or. *nix is very flexible if you can adjust to the fact that nothing is set in stone. > obascii: . -- ~~~ -- . .-~ ~-. / \ / /====\ /===\ \ | \ \_//\ ___ / \_// | | /n_n\ | | | / \ '-_-' / / \ / / `-. .-' / _~- . ___ . -~ / 22x _-' / _-' _/ _-' |.|_-' '-' xlo :F_P: ==)-> Xataleipw, Faux_Pseudo - -- .-')) _ UIN= 66618055 _ (('-. | It's a damn poor mind that ' ..- .:" ) ( ":. -..
