| is a good try but not all browser can use it - especially netscape 4.X

It's just that I may be putting some of my own ascii, on my site. Sorry if
it seems a little off topic, but the people at alt.html weren't helping my
plight [yet again]. So I thought I'd cut ot the chase and ask the good
people here, who evidently have the know how to solve the mystery of
applying fixed width in HTML - seeing as many people have ascii in their
sites.

what's obASCII?? Never heard of that before now.
