I had a driver that would sound out wave output piped to it , Then I just used a l3enc to decode a mp3 and piped the output to the driver/pipe. .. but you dont need to do all that .. you could f.x. check out http://www.8ung.at/dos/mp3.htm for a old but comprehensive list of MP3 player for DOSS or just type in dos mp3 player in Google
