For instance, instead of "Bad command or filename" i got a "Whaddayamean ? Go try something else!" and when i typed "Format A:" i got a "A-Formatting we go, a-formatting we go" (at which point it would format the floppy in drive A: of course). Then i got Win3.1 and you could start it of course by typing "win" but i made an alias that would cause the command "lose" to perform the same action with the difference that if i left Windows, 4DOS would greet me back again with "Welcome back, had fun?" "Bye" would play a sad little diddy and then reboot the machine and "Dirt" would do a "dir /ogens/p". The last alias was born out of despair really, i made that type-o a lot back then (darn keys, they shouldn't have put them so close togeter i tell 'ya) Another fun thing was that you could colorize different filetypes, i forgot which filetype had what color, but i do remember that executables were cyan, image files were magenta, directories were bright green and soundfiles were yellow or brown, all of the other files that i hadn't classified as such-and-such a file were grey. Yes, i had a lot of fun with 4DOS, i might install it again one day, i think i still have the alias file lying around somewhere.
