Since Yahoo! took over the ASCII Art Ring, they've
begun using it to promote themselves.  Their interface
design is ugly, their navigator isn't exclusively ASCII,
and there are advertisements.   Since decentralization was
one of the goals of Web Rings when they originally became
popular, it is unfortunate that the existing rings are now
under the influence of one of the largest portal companies.

I took it upon myself to write software to support
a web ring to replace the ASCII Art Ring.  

* no advertising, no fees, non-profit
* the interface is text only
* the "button bar" is unobtrusive

register and join this ring.
