I mean, a few extra letters > instead of thinking up a shortened version of a word??? > > What a care bear? > 'Care Bears' was a children's programme from quite a while ago (there were two films, and assorted merchandise as well). The Care Bears were of the brightly coloured teddy variety, as opposed to the tear-you-to-pieces variety, and usually had smiling suns and similar on their chests. They went around being nauseatingly nice to people, and fighting the evil Darkheart, whom they eventually fire light at and turn into a nice little boy. An quick search on the Internet should get you a few pictures of them.
