If he can't be bothered to take 5 seconds extra over his message to use proper grammar, check and correct the spelling of about 10 words, and write 'later' instead of 'l8tz' then why should we be bothered to either draw him some ASCII art of Care Bears or go looking for some? Also, going back to the point about people using slang in everyday speech, in everyday speech you try and talk quickly as well. During everyday speech, you don't have the time to think about every sentence and check it for grammar before you say it. In Usenet, you do, and should, to make your post more readable.
