The first season was rather crappy and then it got better. I must admit that I think the change to the better was partly the result of better funding, but the show has also changed its tone quite a bit. It used to be more or less a standard sitcom, with actual morals! Then they started freaking out, and that's when the "true" Simpsons emerged. However, that's beside the point. I think that whatever you do, you can always get better at it. I have fun while I'm learning new stuff, discovering things I didn't even know you -could- know, etc. I've had a lot of fun trying to learn how to pace a joke, how to fit a short story into 3-5 panels, how to write a good punchline, etc. I'll never know everything about those things, but when/if Nerd Boy no longer feels like a learning experience for me, I don't know if I'll think it's any fun to do anymore. I need feedback to feel like I'm learning stuff. The biggest problem right now, however, is probably inspiration -- I don't know what to write about. But enough of my bitching and moaning.
