A year or two is not ages , and it's not THAT incorrect .. it's just redundent code as PRE
also specifies a teletype/monospaced font.
If you look at the banner on your webpage you will see that I cleverly used the fact that
<TT> does not use the same kind of formatting as <PRE> but merely changes the font to a
monospaced.

It would be the same kind of redundency if you specified a stylesheet that set the font to
monospaced as it would be if you used <TT> 's even if you had used <PRE>.
