The "FIGfont Version 2 FIGfont and FIGdriver Standard" can be found right here: http://www.jave.de/docs/figfont.txt > Oh .. btw .. Markus , if you're reading this : The JavE Figlet font creation > stinks .. it needs to be documented and easier to use. Ok, I will write documentation about it - propably later this day. I don't know how to make it easier to use. The main goal was to solve the problem that there are many fonts already finished in a format like this: (font created by bug) $ $ .s*s.d $s*s. .s*s. .s*s$ .s*s. $ $$ $ $ $ $ $ $===* `*=*'T T*=*' `*=*' `*=*T `*=*' .s=. $ o o $ $ .s*s. $s*s. s s $ .s s$s= $ $ $ $ $ $ $$' $ `*=*$ $ $ $ $ $`*s `*=*' *=* o o o It is a lot of work selecting each character, moving it to the right position, adding line-endings, etc. to fit the FIGlet font format. And it is hard work to figure out all the layout numbers for the header... So the figlet font assistant creates a mask: abcde fghijk .. to fit to the characters and extracts all of them itself... Ok, you will find more about it in the documentation I will write (along with some screenshots). > I suggest letting the user input each char one by one - this reduces the > risk of JavE guesswork fouling things up. That's exactly what I want to avoid: I don't want the user to cut and paste each character by hand... I have successfully converted two fonts with my assistant tool and I agree that it is by no means perfect - but with some documentation it should be ok.
