I didn't take it that way, I was just trying to clearify this long lasting misunderstanding :) In fact, lynx was one of the first browsers who supported frames, faster than most graphical ones. > I am not, but thanks for thinking with me. > I am not looking for a textmode browser, i _was_ at one point looking for a > browser as basic as possible and i think Lynx is as basic as it gets. But I personally wouldn't rely on any browser that isn't even possible to render simple tables in a useable fasion. w3m does that, and if you want to switch off rendering of frames you can do that in the options. >> You can take a snapshot of how w3m would display it at >> ... > > Or.... You could take a look for yourself instead of suggesting links. or.... you can read the very next paragraph to see that I have done that :) >>*hmm* Seems to be down currently (the >>text-script, not the page itself). I am most of the times just showing alternatives. I don't want to push anyone in any direction. I personally am fully behind the fact that most people should make up their own mind and don't need any leaders. On the other hand there is one thing they need: Someone who shows them that there are alternatives.... >>P.S.: Please keep even your text-lines to about 74 characters or so at a >>maximum, it makes them better to read - there are people that use only >>80 character wide displays. > > Ermmm... Context? > Did you mean my website or my posts? Your post but not really just your post. It seems to be a general habit nowadays that people use wider lines so it's hard to read them on theirself and makes it even harder when they are quoted... It's the same rule that most people aply to their ascii arts itself, I simply don't understand it why they don't use it on their regular text either... obASCII: /"\ /"\ __ on request: |oO`| /.'O\ \ \_/_ (lava lamps) \o/ \ o / /_\ / /_\ \n/ So long!
