Try jave.de Maybe he didn't mean only the Image2Ascii Converter of JavE or other programs, but a program which chooses the appropriate ASCII character for the image part. So that the program does not only look what the average gray value is in the testing area but also looks for line to draw and so on. I'm working on something like that for a while but it was put on ice, because I had too much else to do. Joey
