in Windows Explorer open the folder C:\Windows\Fonts
click the font name and then select from the menu-bar
Edit > Copy
or use Ctrl-C

then go to your Desktop or any other folder and
click the right-hand mouse button
which will reveal a small floating menu
select Paste
or use Ctrl-V

your copied font will then appear at that location

i also like the Lucida Console truetype font for viewing ascii-art
it has almost zero line-spacing with characteristics you describe
altho' i often use the bitmap fonts such as Fixedsys 9pt for
drawing (scribbling) and Terminal 5pt for viewing when using
ms-windows
