Its name is Jave (Java ASCII Versatile Editor) and it can be used like a graphics editor, but the result is pure ascii. Here are some of the features: - Freehand painting with mouse - Select/fill/mirror/flip/move regions. - Shape tool for Ellipses/Rectangles - Image2Ascii-converter with 2 ascii algorithms and a converter to braille - FIGlet tool - Textboxes - Makros The tool is written in Java and should run on any platform with a Java Runtime Environment 1.1 or greater installed. There is also an applet version online - but it has a lot of restrictions. Both the applet and the application can be found here: http://www.jave.de It was not in the first place intended for ascii art, but maybe it will be useful. Unfortunately there are still lots of bugs and inconveniences. Let me know what you think about it. Markus
