Most people won't need all the options in a screen capture program but the scrolling features would be good for long drawings that don't fit on the screen at once. It's now among the umpteenth programs that I hardly ever use, but are nice to have when I need them. When I send ascii to a friend, it's usually as a jpeg (2 bit gifs from now on, they ARE smaller, I learn something new every day). Strangely, the average person would rather have a picture of ascii art rather than plain ascii. Pics are now more universal than text. Lossless jpg cropping is news to me too. I wonder why every program doesn't do it that way. I give a thumbs up to acdsee. I like when you drag a bunch of pics into a folder and some have the same name it shows thumbnails so you can decide to delete one or auto-rename. Irfanview doesn't seem to do drag and drop. Speaking of pic browsers, does anyone know of a program that browses text files? That is, it quickly flips from one to another in the same window without having to open-close, open-close, open-close, each one.
