I just discovered that this person has taken my dragon and put his own signature and a little added knight in the lower left corner. Well, he's a damned plagiarist. He didn't even steal the final version, sans spikes on head, back, and tail (it was based on a spiky dragon from a calendar, Forgotten Realms or something, I don't remember... might have been Smaug laying waste in a Tolkien calendar now that I think about it). I removed the spikes and tail to make it look more like Michael Whelan's Pern dragons. "His" version is lacking my signature ("BF 89" I think it was) and the tagline for the BBS on the left. Alas, I lost my copy with the Commodore 64 it was designed on (via Screen-80) and I dunno if Benden Weyr is still around. Heck, is FidoNet still around? So... Here's "his" version. I think there are some spaces missing at and above the dragon's eyeline, his eye is in the wrong place. He probably munged it to make it fit a narrower screen or something. _ __,----'~~~~~~~~~`-----.__ . . `//====- ____,-'~` -. \_|// . /||\\ `~~~~`---.___./ ______-==. _-~o `\/ ||| \\ _,'` __,--' ,=='||\=_ ;_,_,/ _-'|- |`\ \\ ,' _-' ,=' | \\`. This pisses me off. I found all sorts of web sites honoring "his" art, most of which included *my* artwork. How many other pictures did he steal? Adding a little (badly-drawn) knight is not adequate to switch signatures. BF (haven't signed my real life initials in a decade but it seems appropriate) PS: To anyone with a web site showcasing "his" work, I would appreciate it if you would remove this image, as it is NOT his, not to mention that he broke a few bits of it, and it isn't the finished version either.
