Ok, you are right. Thanks for your report. I have fixed this little bug
and there is now a bugfix version Jave1.1a available for download from
http://www.jave.de:

 * Fixed bug of image2ascii converter not working in Jave 1.1
 * new Menu "Tools" contains image2ascii converter, figlet, textbox and
clipart editor.
   Until now those tools were only available through buttons
 * 3d renderer:
   - speedup: now about 16 times faster.
   - new style: shaded
