You need to get a program like mIRC, download it and connect to an 
undernet server. Then fool around with the program look in the help 
section, it is really a good way to take ascii art to a fun extreme.
Tip: On connection to a server disable any firewalls that may be running, 
it causes probs with connecting properly. Once connected and entering 
into a channel others will help you with other technical questions. go to 
download.com to get the initial program.
