Yes, via a Micronas Intermetall MAS 3507-D chip and a CS4338 DAC. It's based on the Amiga MASPlayer design by Dirk Conrad. > I hear JOS will multitask with a gui eventually It already does, and quite well I might add :) > and CD burning just might be feasible using the CMD SCSI controller. Actually I read someplace about a CD burner designed just for slower machines, made by Panasonic I think. Its designed not to trash discs when the buffer underflows, instead it just turns the laser off. I think this was posted either on the COPS or Homestead lists (see www.videocam.net.au in the C64 section for more details). SUpposedly one of these would work on a CMD HD without the worry of too slow of access to the data. Also I read that someone has already started working on a CD burner program, possibly for CD-RW discs (since those work more or less like a really big floppy disc). -- ___________________________________ _____ _____ | _///@@@| | | natedac@kscable.com /'//ZZ@@|____ | | |'''/ |'/@7 | | http://home.kscable.com/natedac |`'| `~~' | | | `| .--. | | C64/C128 - What's *YOUR* hobby? | `\____|___\ | | \_ | | |___________________________________ \_____| _____|
