By Faux_Pseudo RS's first 8 bit buss was 4bit plus 4bit cpu not an 8 bit cpu, late 70's. I was speaking of today when I mentioned more bit cpu's and the distant past for 4 bit although early 80's was when I had the sinclair but it was a z80 when I could buy the CPU for $100 and three years later could buy a z80 for $9.95 . I wrote algol for a burroughs 2200 (1962 era) - don't know its buss size or speed -don't know if it was 8 bit or not . Fortran for a spectra 360, the 48K - max 64K latest thing computer for its' day - 1963-64 time slot . I only bought the mc-10 to experiment - cost me ten dollars U.S. on sale because it was obsolete - 2mhz and 20Kram max, I think . MiKe=AE
