I, for one just use a freemailer-account with fair I've never liked those, since they usually require a web interface, with no POP3 or NNTP capabilities (as appropriate). > just a few spam-mail per week - an amount I can live with. Well that's about all I get also, but less is always better. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that every spam I receive gets forwarded to the most likely address to reach their actual host (most people aren't clever enough to hide all of their information in the header, often there's a valid address in there someplace). Only irritating thing is when you send out an abuse report and you get nothing back, not even an automated response... the mail didn't bounce, but no one reads the abuse reports and acts on them? arrgh.. > Pine? The *nix mailreader? Most people I know seem to agree that it > sucks badly for news - but if you don't have a choice... I do have a choice, since it is my box it's running on. Actually it does a nice job for the most part. It's only when it starts blocking while waiting to talk to the news server, when I'm just there to read my Email lists, that it becomes a problem. The lack of response to ^C doesn't really happen that often (and usually I just want Pine to give up on talking to the news server) > ACK. ACK? NAK. :-) -- ________________________________________________________ | . . | _____ | | _ _ _|_ _ _| _ _ | C64/C128- _///@@@| | | |/ \'_| | / \ / |'_| / ` | What's /'//ZZ@@|____ | | | |/ | | L-'| |/ || | *YOUR* |'''/ |'/@7 | | | |\_|_\_\_. \_|\_|_\_. | hobby? |`'| `~~' | | _ . . `-----------. | `| .--. | | /_\ | _ _ _ |_ | _ _ _ ._ _ | | `\____|___\ | | |(_Y |/(_`/ `'_|| \|/_) / `/ \| | | | \_ | | | \_. |\._)\_.(_||_/|\_.
