Why did Atari decide to put the mouse/joystick ports
under the front of the keyboard of the ST?

Inevitably, the connection to the mainboard began to
break, you had to wiggle the connections, pack them
with paper, lift them up, push them down, anything to
try and get the mouse or joystick to work.

   Ahhh.. memories.
