Depends which religion you are speaking of and whether you are speaking of those who claim the religion or those who actually do their very best to follow the proper teachings. I can say that I do very well at walking the walk within my global area. The lives that I affect benefit from me and my actions. > the average christian does not give a fuck about anyone else... to take one > example... They are not very good Christians, then, if they don't care about anyone else-- but it is easy for them to tell themselves that they are good because they are part of the Good Club. Those who've actually heard the supposed words of Jesus-- I mean heard and taken to heart-- the message it is said he brought, do try hard to live their lives according to it, to look after those around them, and to help others in their community and in the world. I have a friend who went to South America to help those who live in poverty. I have another friend who went to Belfast. Both of them are like me: they don't just like most people, they love every person in the world, regardless of his or her deeds. A girl who used to work with my best friend went to the projects in New York City a few years back to help kids there. Here in my city a lot of outreach goes on as well. > it means, that it does not matter what their scripture says or what they go > around talking about... it is what they do... and what they do is hate > everyone who does not conform to their ideas... For example: http://www.inanna.de/english.html http://pubpages.unh.edu/~cbsiren/sumer-faq.html > so you adopted a goddess...? how quaint... No, She spoke to me. She is not higher than I am, however. We are different but no is a servant. No one save myself is master or mistress of me. > well I suppose religion is pretty arbitrary... but tell me did you pick >this one out of a catalogue...? No. I look down upon that sort of practise. That is for the fluffy-bunny sort. > nothing is cool... we're mortal... that sucks... Wow, you must lead *such* an enriched life with that attitude. I rather enjoy my life. It has much to do with the value that I place upon myself. > ever hung out in alt.satanism...? Yes, I have actually-- beginning when I was 16. I decided that i wanted them to show me themselves who they were rather than me relying on the word of the church. > i dunno how you could get bored of sex so quickly then... perhaps you have a > low libido...
