Whatever stability that we have did not solely come from you. You think that our parents don't work to keep rooves over our heads and to feed us? You think that we're all born with silver spoons in our mouths in North America? We don't all live in mansions, if that is what you think, and Africa is not to be thanked for everything. Many of the ancestors of people here in my country lived off of the land-- either as Native Indian people or as tradesmen. If they came over from Europe rather than being born here in one of the first generations of European-Canadians, they came over with likely little or nothing. It's a fine fantasy for you to think that we owe you our lives. We don't. The British crown may owe your continent and your specific country, but we do not. I'm not claiming that there was never a person from Canada who had something to do with mining in S.Africa-- I really don't know if there have been or not. I'm just saying that to point a finger at every westerner for those that participated in mining over there is sad. It says that you need to load blame-- misplaced or not-- onto someone or you just aren't okay. That's as bad as every low-income family that is Native here hating every white person regardless of whether those people are living in the same financial situation as they are or not and blaming all the white people for their poverty because the white people don't make it their 24-hour a day life mission to hand over every thing they have to Natives. Canadians are just trying to live, like anyone else. We don't need an excuse for that and we don't need to apologise for things that are not our fault. If you are still bitter because Canada is a richer country than yours, that is too bad for you... but I have nothing to feel either sorry or ashamed for.
