Where did Annie mention 'race?'

She didn't.  She said 'African.'  That refers to an inhabitant
of a geographical area, not to a 'race.'

Are there not Caucasians living in Africa?  And Asians?  And
East Indians?  And Arabs?

The fact that you would interpret the mention of Africa as
'racial' says more about =you= than it does about her.
