In many cases, yes. A episode of "The Simpsons" (Cape feare) was held
back for many years in Germany, amog others besause of an occurance of
a swastika on an announcer's uniform.  It's not allowed to use this
symbols in Germany without historic background.  That is also the
reason why games as `Castle Wolfenstein' or the american version of
`Doom II' are _forbidden_ in Germany.
