In fact the 9x15 is much better than Courier (for Ascii), as are some other fonts that I can use with Emacs. For some pictures I still use Courier (don't actually know if it's "new"). That all depends on the size of picture and display. The reason for my remark was the memory of getting a full load of screenshots from mic that showed me that the same fonts are quite slim on his Windows computer whereas my Emacs shows them very wide. > P.S.
