I asked that too when I first started using this group.

OBascii is obligatory ascii-art.
The idea is that since this is a group about ascii-art, you need to actually post some art
every once in a while .. especially when discussing someting off-topic.

So a OBascii is a small ascii picture, made to be more ontopic.
And since they small ascii's they are often some of the most rediddled pictures ,
resulting in new pictures people didn't expect
