But it seems that starting a Java application on a Mac is not that easy. However, I have found a document about a tool called JBindery: http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/java/MacOSandJava/JBindery/JBindery.html With this tool one can pack an executable jar file into a file that can be then be launched like any other Mac application. I don't know anybody who successfuly used that tool and I can't give you further information about it. But I would be glad if you could check it out and tell us whether it works or not. In case you want to check it out, there is some information you need for packaging Jave: The Class name is gebhard.jave.AsciiPainter There are no optional parameters and there should be no classpath changes.
