(I use a Mac) There are dozens of programs that I have seen, and so far, I have yet to see any decent results. Perhaps some others have had better luck, but the best thing I have ever seen a ascii program do is give an incredibly rough outline for something, so you can still just rely on your skill to make it legible. So in the long run, the computer programs do nothing that you can't do yourself, given the drawing skill of a first grader. (that seems to be about the skill level I have seen most computerized ascii stuff, unless you include huge things that take up 7 screens, and I don't) Basically, practice. :) If you want to rely on a program, you can really only get figlets of quality out of them, and nothing else.
