I used a new technique for displaying text, it works fine on my Mac, and in theory it should also work fine on a Windows box, but I can't verify that myself, since I don't have a Windows box. The captions should display with the system font ("Chicago" for the Mac and "System" for Windows) with a font size 14. The system font is the font that the computer operating system uses to display the pulldown menus. I have done that for two reasons. First, to minimize the filesize (since all I need to put into the file is the pure ascii info.) And second, to take advantage of the font with the best legibility on each individual computing platform, which is the very reason for using those particular fonts as _the_ system font in each individual case. Legibility is obviously very important for captions as well, particularly for flashed captions in animations and games. The captions should not linewrap or misbehave in any other way either. As I alluded to in the above, I have verified that the technique works fine on my Mac, but Windows users, please let me know if the captions don't look right. Thanks and Enjoy! / ,, ( "> w The Original 'stein Gallery ,(> )>| http://members.aol.com/petecasso ( ^^ 'stein cartoons, 'stein games, and more!
