The most annoying thing about digital sound is that after being deafened
by the "this theatre has digital sound" boasting shown before every
film, it's impossible to hear the first half of the actual movie because
of the persistant ringing in one's ears.

The best thing about digital sound is that while being deafened by the
"this theatre has digital sound" boasting shown before every film, it's
impossible to hear the disgusting lipsmacking by those who are foolhardy
enough to buy concession popcorn that has been adorned liberally with
(gag) golden topping - not to be mistaken for butter by any stretch of
the imagination.
