Only AOL insists that you use ARIAL font. Ascii-art uses the COURIER, MONACO or any other non proportional font. So you have to do your drawings somewhere else, using a non-proportional font and then transfer them to your newsreader. They'll look bad but we'll be able to see them. You can't use tabs; you should make sure that your lines don't exceed 70 characters; you should also make sure there are no spaces at the ends of your lines. Here is your lighthouse in COURIER (as close as I could get it to your original.) I'd really like to see what *you* can do in a COURIER or MONACO. \)/ %% - O - %%%%% '/)\` %%%%%%% ^ %%%%% / \ %%%% %% ***** / m %%%%% |+++O - %%%%%% ~~~~~ \ %% %%% |www | m | www| | | |www | | www| ^\ | ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~ |()|| | ~~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~ 88888888888 ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ``88888888888888" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~``8888888888888888"~~~~~~(tabs) ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ NOTE: If you hit the reply button, add an "e" to the "freent"; its absense is to stop the torment of automatic mailers. -- ___ ???/\ *sigh* _/ |===%^, Doesn't ANYONE read the FAQ that |_____| \/> Colin posts at least once a month? --- == > [_____] __>,^ llizard aka ejm cq547@freenet.toronto.on.ca ejm97 | | //| | http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Studios/9334/
