These systems can be reached from any of the Sun workstations in the ACR X Window lab (room 016 Library Annex), the X-terminals in 152 Russ Center, and the DEC Digital Graphics terminals in 042 Library annex. This account gives you access to many more machines and applications. Your login shell on all the systems is the tcsh shell. Your email address should be "username@discover.wright.edu", where username is your username that you used to login on the system. ********************************************************************** Use the "yppasswd" command to change your initial password. Changing your initial password to a new one is a MUST. When choosing a new password, make sure you include at least three non-alpha characters in it - non-alpha characters such as numbers and punctution characters ($,^,&,#) - In the X Window lab, if you login to any of the Sun workstations, or login to discover from one of the X terminal devices, you should be placed immediately in the X Windows environment with the Open Look user interface. Stop in the lab in room 016LX and try it out. IMPORTANT: If you are a novice user and not familiar that much with Unix, DO NOT try to change anything in the ".login" and ".cshrc" files. These files are used to properly log you on the system and to reflect the system wide changes that are added to the system at any time. For more information on what is available on the system, type "announce" at the command line, or select the "On Line Info" from the X-window main menu. For a complete list of all the available software and utilities on the system type "softlist" on the command line. NOTE : Use Ctrl-C to cancel and quit your commands. DO NOT use Ctrl-Z .
