I found a utility that does part of the job, i.e. it allows me to generate
a series of gif files (with ascii art content).

I now need an animation engine for posting on the web, displaying the gif
files as frames in a movie clip. These animation engines must be quite
common, I see animated gifs quite often on the www.

Anyone knows about an animation gif utility?
