They are made to be viewed with a non-proportional fixed font... such as Courier or FixedSys. If you have a Mac- Monaco font works well. If you can't change font... (and I know AOL users can't), you can print the ascii art or you can copy/paste to your favorite word processor application (or notepad) and view it there with the fixed-space font... As for the animated ascii pics, there is an entire USENET newsgroup to discuss them... I have a few on my homepage- but they are created with javascript coding (thanks to Llizard and Veronica Karlsson) and they must be viewed with Netscape 3.0 -joan -- , /\^/`\ __ \/ __ | \/ | /o \{}/ o\ | | | \ () / SPRING IS IN THE AIR! \ \ / `> /\ <` _ _ '\\//' (o/\/\o) _{ ' }_ || ) ( joan stark { `.!.` } || ',_/Y\_,' || , {_,_} |\ || |\ | | | || | | ASCII ART GALLERY: (\| /) | | || / / \| // \ \||/ / |// jgs `\\//` \\ \./ \\ / // \\./ \\ // \\ |/ / ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
