Have you already tried Ntuitive Editor? Press F7 and then draw single
or double lines or draw with a user defined char using the cursor keys
(with shift pressed). Crossing lines are automatically inserted.

Version 3.0 has been released two weeks ago.

The program's completely in German. A translation to english is being
done during these days.
