Agreed. The best newsgroups for these binaries are:

alt.binaries.pictures.ascii  or  alt.binaries.misc

Post a Pointer here to say that you have posted the Binaries into
one of those other newsgroups.

Beware of Binaries...check them for viruses...we had a version of
figlet.exe posted which contianed a virus !
