Ask about my INTERGALE UNIX MENU! -------- 2) Random Signatures... I write email to many people and we all have been tired of getting the same sig file in every letter. Infact, since they get boring and trite, I feel that defeats the entire purpose of a signature file! To combat this problem, I wrote a Random sig file generator (as you see above). Right now it works with: 115 pictures and 747 quotes (that I have collected... I am a packrat). As you can see, it flips the picture on both sides (the program uses the file to *generate* the ), it decides whether to use 1 or 2 pictures, with some size constraints (though the size of the pictures is the biggest influence of that). The size is generally around 4-7 lines... but I look at it since it is different most everytime, that people are a little more lenient on the size of the sig. If you want smaller sigs, then use smaller pictures, and it all works out nice (see closing sig). The Quotes are in one file in which the first line is the number of quotes in the file. The pictures are in the same directory as the quote-file, and they are all called : small. . It will *automatically> incorporate any new additions in this directory... as long as you follow the "rules." The same picture can appear with different quotes. My questions: 1) R U still OK with the size of these examples... remember that these are larger examples (probably the biggest they will get) and 2) who is interested in this idea? Depending on the response wil depend on the next posting... though I think that I should clean up the code a little! :) *snicker* I will need the assistance of a C programmer for first testing on another account... Also, this is UNIX based. Thanks, and Keep The Faith Jason \ _____________________________________________________________ / \ /\ -> If things get any worse, I'll have to ask you to stop /\ / ( ) helping me.
