Here's the latest list to watch for as you go on your merry way. Netscape 3.0 beta 4B - The mail system gives problems, and leaves open POP server daemons running (forever-ish) on many systems. Try using a dedicated mail client like Pegasus or Eudora until they have this little bug fixed. Overuse of Netscape's mail is causing systems to become jammed. GOOD TIMES Virus - This is a hoax. The warning is actually just another kind of chain letter, designed to get you to send it to everyone you know. Don't! Ignore it. MAKE MONEY FAST/FASTCASH/ETC.. - Ignore what they tell you about trying to make it legal by saying 'put me on your mailing list and similar garbage. This is still wire-fraud, and attracts severe penalties in Australia and America. Like the chain-letters above ignore them. Any statistician can tell you that it can't possibly work, anyway. If you sit down and do the sums, you'll find out that more than double the population of the earth has to participate for you to get even a small fraction of the money the claim. Besides, the addresses are all bogus, except for the occasional fool who thinks it's a good idea. If you do this you'll almost certainly lose your net access Be careful out there... >From http://www.brisnet.org.au/Warnings.html ______________ |Chan Wei Yee| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ .---. .----------- / \ __ / ------ / / \(`')/ ----- ////// ' \/ ` --- //// / // : : --- // / / /` '-- // //..\\ '//||\\` [] oo // Without Fear Or Prejudice ()%\%\%\%||::=================================- oo \\ []
