I'm sure if you take a copy of the logo and sit in front of your computer, you could come up with a very good likeness within a few minutes by just using a word processor or text file editor (i.e. edit.com which comes with DOS machines). Just think where you would begin, and choose a character which you would like to make it out of... %%%%%%%% %%%%%%%%%%%%%%% %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% %%%%%%%% %%%%%% %%%%%%%% %%%%%%% %%%%%%% %%%%%%% %%%%%%%% %%%%%%%% %%%%%% %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% %%%%%%%% Didn't even take me 30 seconds to do this and with a little fixing up I'm sure it'd look like the logo - and then already you're half done. So I would encourage you to try it on your own. :-) I don't believe people are really as inept in making ascii art as they claim they are... *grin* Regards, Daniel -- @@@@88UUI::... @88UUUIII:::.. @::... @@@888UUUIII:::.. @@@888UUUII::.. @@888UUUIII::... @8I:::.. @@@888UUUIII:::.. @@@888UUUIII::.@@@888UUUII:::.. @8UUI:::...@@@888UUUIII:::.. @@@888UUUIII:::@@@888UUUII::... @88UUUI:::..@@@888UUUIII:::.. @@@888UUUIII::.@@@888UUUII:::.. @@888UUII:::.@@@888UUUIII:::.. @@@888UUUII:::. @@888UUUIII:::.@@@888UUIII::::@@888UUUII::... @@@8@8UUI::.. @88UUUIII:::@@@888UUUUIII:::..@88UUI::... dcau@casbah.acns.nwu.edu http://pubweb.acns.nwu.edu/~dcau From: dcau@casbah.acns.nwu.edu (Daniel Au) Newsgroups: alt.ascii-art Subject: Re: Calvin Klein (cK) logo Date: 3 Nov 1995 01:20:34 GMT Still shopping, Carl wrote: > > Thanks for the tips...but I don't think the look I want to acheive >can be had using only one character...i need more rounded letters, you >know? Just kidding...that's no problem. You just need to experiment with these characters: ' <-- the apostrophe ` <-- the backwards apostrophe , <-- the comma . <-- periods also work " <-- the double quote in a pinch d b <-- good for rounding large characters Y A <-- same thing. o <-- also help First off, let's change the % of the c to 8's: 88888888 888888888888888 88888888888888888888 88888888 888888 88888888 8888888 8888888 8888888 88888888 88888888 888888 88888888888888888888 8888888888888888 88888888 Then let's add those characters I familiarized you with: ,od8888888bo, ,o88888888888888b, ,d888888888888888888, d888888Y' `Y88888, ,888888Y 8888888 8888888 8888888 8888888b `d888888b, ,88888; `d8888888boooood888888' `d88888888888888888' `"d888888888"' And that's pretty much it (well I did it quickly - in between study breaks, I have a BIG exam on Monday, ack - but I think you get the idea). Like I said before, just play around with it at your keyboard. Post what you do and ask for help if you need to. Or else just show off the final product! :-) Regards, Daniel -- _ _ __| |___ _ _ __ __ _ ____ __ _ __ __ ___ __| |__ __ / o / c/ o` | U |@| ' \ V V | U | / e/ o | U | \__n_\___\__n_|\__n_| |__|_|\_/\_/ \__n_|o\___\__n_|\__n_| 850 N.
