Someone was asking for a kiwi bird before.  As I remember, it's a small 
flightless bird that basicly looks like a hairy melon with a head and a 
long beak :)

I'm sure someone could do better, but this is nice and sig sized 
(depending on how lenient you are with the term "sig sized").  I saw one 
of these once at Brookfield Zoo near Chicago.  There was a sign next to 
it's little home saying it was active from about 11.45am-12.15pm daily.. 
hehehe.. Luckily, I hit just the middle of the half hour window, and got 
to watch it wander around in a small circle, peck at the ground a few 
times and then go back to bed.  Pretty exciting :)
