Its a good job not every posting on these newsgroups complain about : spelling and cultural differences. : I wasn't aware that the internet was an American owned entity --- we have to put up with : "Americanisms" all the time, and you dont find the newsgroups cluttered with everyone else moaning : about the American culture and spelling (apart from this one!) although it isn't, i think the use of the word 'soccer' would help avoid any confusion. besides, although the internet isn't american- (or canadian-) owned entity, most people who use it are from north america.
